Privacy Policy

1. Introduction and scope

This Privacy Policy describes how Untethr LLC ("Untethr", "we", "us") handles information in connection with this website (untethr.llc) and the apps we publish for iPhone and iPad through the Apple App Store (together, the "Services"). It applies to all Untethr apps unless an app links to its own separate policy.

2. The short version

We do not collect your personal data. Our apps do not require accounts, do not show ads, do not include third-party advertising or marketing SDKs, and do not track you across apps or websites. Our apps are intended for adults 18 and older, and age is verified privately through Apple — we never see your birthdate. The servers that power some app features keep only anonymized diagnostic logs, which delete themselves within 72 hours. We have no interest in your data — our business is selling good software, not information about you.

3. Information we do not collect

Unless an app's App Store listing states otherwise, our apps do not collect:

• names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other contact information;
• account credentials — our apps do not have user accounts;
• your date of birth or exact age — age eligibility is confirmed through Apple's age range attestation, which provides only an age-range signal, never your birthdate (see Section 4);
• precise or coarse location data;
• contacts, photos, messages, or other content stored on your device, except where you explicitly use an app feature to open or process such content, in which case it is processed on your device only;
• advertising identifiers (IDFA) — we do not track, so our apps do not display the App Tracking Transparency prompt;
• browsing history or activity in other apps.

4. Age requirement and age verification

Our apps are intended solely for adults 18 years of age or older. To confirm eligibility, our apps use Apple's age range attestation (the declared age range capability of iOS). Apple provides the app with an age-range signal only — never your date of birth or identity documents — and the check is performed on your device. The attestation result is not transmitted to or stored on Untethr's servers. Apple's handling of your age information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

5. Information processed automatically

A small amount of technical information is processed to operate the Services:

• Untethr servers. Some app features communicate with services we operate. Those servers generate diagnostic logs used solely for debugging and reliability. IP addresses and any other potentially identifying details are stripped or anonymized before the logs are stored, the logs never contain personal information or user content, and they are automatically deleted within 72 hours. These logs cannot be used to identify you.
• Apple. If you have enabled "Share with App Developers" in your device's analytics settings, Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymized crash reports and usage statistics. This data is collected by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy, is opt-in, and does not identify you to us.
• Website hosting. This website is a static site served by Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes standard technical request data (such as IP addresses) transiently to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not set cookies, and we do not run third-party advertising or tracking scripts on this website.

6. Your content stays on your device

Content you create or settings you choose in our apps are stored on your device and, where an app supports it, in your personal iCloud account so your data can sync between your own devices. iCloud data is controlled by you and governed by your agreement with Apple; we cannot access it. We do not store your app content on our servers — where an app feature sends a request to our services, it is processed transiently and nothing beyond the anonymized, short-lived diagnostic logs described in Section 5 is retained.

7. Third-party services

Our apps are distributed exclusively through the Apple App Store, and purchases (if any) are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment details. Where we work with any third party that handles data in connection with the Services, we require that it provides at least the same level of protection for that data as is described in this policy.

8. Data retention and deletion

The only data our servers retain is the anonymized diagnostic logging described in Section 5, which is deleted automatically within 72 hours and contains no personal information. We retain no personal data about you. Deleting one of our apps from your device deletes the data the app stored on that device (data you chose to sync to iCloud can be removed through your device's iCloud settings).

If you believe we hold any personal data about you — for example, because you emailed us and our mailbox therefore contains your email address — you may request access to it, ask us to delete it, or revoke any consent you previously gave by contacting contact@untethr.llc. We will honor verified requests as required by applicable law.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or certain U.S. states such as California), you may have legal rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We honor these rights on request regardless of jurisdiction. We do not sell or share personal data as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we have not done so.

10. Children's privacy

The Services are intended for adults 18 and older and are not directed to anyone under 18 — including children under 13 within the meaning of the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Our apps use Apple's age range attestation to prevent use by minors, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including minors. If you believe a minor has provided us personal information (for example, by email), contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

If our practices change — for example, if a future app requires an account or collects diagnostics — we will update this policy before those changes take effect and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be described in the relevant app's App Store listing and privacy details.
